'Le Peyret Bas' is the original name of our partly restored farm, hidden between the hills around Villefranche-du-Périgord ('Périgord Pourpre'). An ideal holiday spot for rest, sun, clean air and good food. The 'Périgord Pourpre' is located in the south west of the Dordogne at the border with the departments Lot and Let et Garonne, an ideal basis for cycling, walking, horse riding and canoeing. Gîte 'NADINE'
This farmhouse is situated in a wooded area and as inhabitants you notice how peaceful and quiet it is here. A walk over the 5.5 ha large terrain is a pleasure every time, over the rolling meadows and through the forrest with a small 'plan d'eau', with water from a higher located well. Villefranche-du-Périgord and its region is the ideal place for those who not only like relaxation, nature, quietness and small brooks, but also the famous kitchen with the confits, foie-gras, chestnuts, cèpes (mushroom). Each Saturday morning there is a market. Also visit nearby: the villages Besse, Prats de Périgord. Within a range of 50km you will find a variety of landscapes, towns and villages. In many towns, there are weekly markets with regional products and now and then there is a jumble sale. Each Thursday evening in July and August, there is a market with local products in Loubejac.
